UNH Course Search: How to request an account for an admin user

Summary

This article details how to request an account for an admin user.  Administrative accounts for courses.unh.edu may be requested for department support staff or TAs who need access to update rich course data information on behalf of faculty.

By default, all active faculty have access to login to the Course Search site and view/edit information for courses they are listed as teaching in Banner. 

Note:  The course details are directly imported from Banner. If the course information is incorrect, please update the information in Banner.

 

How-To

Task: To request an account for a non-faculty admin user.

Administrative accounts for courses.unh.edu may be requested for department support staff or TAs who need access to update rich course data information on behalf of faculty. 

Non-faculty access is available at the department level only. Access cannot be given to modify only individual courses.  Faculty listed as instructors for a course in Banner already have Edit access in the course search site.

Instructions

Step 1 - Visit the UNH IT Accounts Management System

Step 2 - Sign in using your UNH username (without the "@usnh.edu") and password.

Step 3 - Click the "Add" button.

Step 4 - Click on "Request Access for an Employee".

Step 5 - Confirm your own account information and then click "Next".

Step 6 - Fill in the information for the employee you are requesting access for (you can use the lookup at the top if you know their username). Click "Next".

Step 7 - Check off "Communication and Collaboration" and then "Website Access".  Click "Next".

Step 8 - Fill in the name of the department you are requesting access for and the URL of the course search site (https://courses.unh.edu).  Click "Next" and submit the request.

 

Outcome

You have successfully submitted an account request for a non-faculty admin user.
