Details

1.  Select the zone you wish to work in. To do this, click on the zone name in the orange area of the application screen and, if necessary, click on the appropriate zone name to the right.

2.  On Main Menu select "Bulletins"

3.  This will present all of the bulletins that have been added to this zone.  The user may need to adjust the filters (Active, Unapproved, Upcoming, Expired) to the right in order to find the bulletin they need.  The user can also use the search area to the right to search on name or tag.

4.  Once the correct bulletin has been found, the user can:

Preview - Here you'll see a large preview of your bulletin. The bulletin title is displayed at the top of the page, followed by the bulletin type and its percentage of original size (if applicable). Click the arrows next to the bulletin preview to browse through additional pages within the bulletin, or additional bulletins in the zone.

  • Under the bulletin preview will be a list of details about the bulletin. This always includes certain information, such as the owner, type, status, schedule, and last render of a bulletin. Other details on a bulletin will appear when applicable, such as when a bulletin has audio attached or when a bulletin is part of a dynamic feed. Certain details, such as the date and time of the last render, can be clicked on to give more information. At the bottom of the preview window you'll see a icon to edit the bulletin, a icon to duplicate/copy/move the bulletin, and a icon to delete the bulletin.

5.  The user can also single click on the bulletin which will select it and then the "Actions" menu above becomes active and an action can be selected from there.  Note, there are more actions within the menu than below the thumbnail.  Actions are defined below:

  • Duplicate - Creates an identical copy of the selected bulletin in the zone currently selected.
  • Copy - This action will copy the selected bulletin to one or multiple zones. If media is copied to the current zone, a duplicate will be created.
  • Move - This action will move the selected bulletin to a different zone. You can only move an item to one zone, not multiple.  The ability to move bulletins depends on the permission to manage bulletins in this zone.
    • NOTE - If you're trying to move an item to multiple zones, you should use copy instead.
  • Delete - Click the Delete button to remove this bulletin from the system. A preview of the bulletin is given to ensure you've selected the correct one.
  • If a bulletin has linked copies you will get a second prompt to confirm if you'd like to delete them as well.
    • NOTE - Once a bulletin has been deleted it is removed from all channels and the system. This can not be undone.
  • Group - This action groups all selected bulletins in a new group, discarding any existing groups that are selected.  Users can group bulletins by dragging them on top of each other.
  • Export - This exports the selected bulletins to a 'Bulletin Package' for import into another Carousel system.
  • Assign Owner - This changes the ownership of the selected bulletins. It is useful if a user no longer has access to the system or to grant ownership to a user with limited permissions.
  • Change Schedule - This will change the display schedule of the selected bulletins.
  • Track Impressions - Setting this to Yes will cause the server to record every time this bulletin appears on a player.

6.  If the user selects Edit, the system will open the bulletin up with full edit option as defined in "Creating a bulletin from a Template or Create a bulletin from Upload"
