Xtender: Install Captiva Cloud

Summary

This tip is for anyone who needs to scan with the web version of Xtender. In order to scan into Xtender, the Captiva Cloud software must be installed on the computer being used for scanning.

Note: Captiva Cloud is not required for importing documents into Xtender.

Task: Install Captiva Cloud.

Instructions

If you are a USNH user with Company Portal on your computer, you can run the installer from the Company Portal. The benefit of this option is that you don't need to have administrator privileges for installing software on your computer.

Step 1 - Search on your computer for "Company Portal" and press Enter or click "Open"

Step 2 - In the top bar, search for "captiva" to find Captiva Cloud Capture.  Click on the Captiva icon.

Step 3 - Click the Install button.

Step 4 - Close the Company Portal. Once Captiva Cloud has been installed, you can find it listed on the Programs and Features list.

Step 5 - In Xtender, open the User Settings window (how? Xtender: Define the User Settings)

Step 6 - In the Import section of User Settings, select the Enable Scanning checkbox

Step 7 - Click Save

 

Outcome

Captiva Cloud has been installed with the Company Portal.
