UNH Events Calendar: Subscriptions and Notifications

Summary

The Events Calendar is UNH's main resource for event information along with being the official source for the academic calendar.  Schools, departments, offices and student organizations post events happening at UNH to promote them.  The calendar software includes features that make it easier for students, faculty, staff, and members of the public to get notices of new or updated events, reminders, and subscriptions to specific categories of events.

Several of these features will send out email messages. These messages will come from "calendar.suggestions@unh.edu". You may need to make sure that any filters in your mail program are setup to allow messages from this address.

Reminders

If you're interested in receiving an email reminder about an event, click the MORE > link to see the details of that specific event.  Then, click the Set Reminder button below the description. Enter your email address and select a time, ranging from 15 minutes to two weeks before the event start, and you will be emailed a reminder at that point.

Notifications

You sign up to receive email notification if events are added, modified, or deleted from a calendar.  You receive a digest of the changes around 7:00 PM each day. To subscribe click the Notifications/iCal Feeds link in the right-side of the screen.  A dialog will open to get the details to setup your notification subscription:

  1. Select one or more calendars to subscribe to.  Double-click on them to move them to the Selected list.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Check the boxes for whether you wish to receive notice of just new events, event changes/cancellations, or both.

Each email message will contain details on how to unsubscribe if you no longer wish to receive notifications.

Add to personal calendar

The calendar supports adding events to a personal calendar program by supporting RSS feeds for calendar data exchange.  You can see a list of RSS feeds within the calendar software and get a link to subscribe to one of the dozens that are setup.  Because there are so many for specific purposes, most built to feed events to specific department websites, below is a list of some of the most common ones that you may wish to subscribe to:

Specific instructions on how to add these to Apple Calendar and Outlook will be added soon.
