This tip is for anyone using the web version of Xtender and an installed version of Outlook (not Outlook Web App).

Task: Copy an email from Outlook into Xtender.
Instructions
- Start with Xtender Web Access and Outlook open. In Outlook, you should be looking at the list of email. In Xtender, you can be anywhere. A new document will be created when you move the email in.
- Arrange your browser windows so that you can also see your computer desktop.
- In Outlook, drag the closed email to the desktop.
- Switch to Xtender.
- Drag the email from your desktop to Xtender.
- Index the document.
Note: These steps will include any attachments as well. Email attachments can either be stored with the original email (kept as a .msg file in Xtender), or as separate pages in your Xtender document. To determine how they are stored, adjust your User Settings (Import section >> Import Email Attachment as New Page checkbox). Xtender: Define the User Settings
Outcome
You should be able to copy an email from Outlook into Xtender.
