Xtender: Add a Document

Summary

This tip is for anyone using the web version of Xtender, and who has the security to scan/import and index into Xtender.

Documents can be manually added to Xtender in a couple different ways: either by scanning them directly into Xtender or by importing an electronic image. Once a document has been brought into Xtender, it needs to be indexed in order for others to see it.

How-To

Task: Follow the instructions below to add a document to Xtender

Instructions

  1. Either scan the document (Xtender: Scan a Document ), or import it (Xtender: Import a Document with Xtender ) into Xtender
  2. Index the document (Xtender: Index a Document )
  3. The document is now available for other users to view, if they have the appropriate security.

Outcome

You should be able to add a document to Xtender.
