Task: To upgrade or install SPSS for Windows

If you need to upgrade SPSS or install a new copy, follow these instructions to install, and then proceed with the licensing steps.

Instructions

Step 1 - Connect to the repository for the installation files here: USNH SPSS   This folder is accessible to all USNH account holders, but you may have to login with your USNH username and password to gain access.

Step 2 - Open the SPSS 29 - Windows Folder.

Step 3 - Download the 29.0-S29STATC-WIN65-MD001.zip file by scrolling over the file, selecting the circle next to the file name, and clicking the Download button that appears as a down arrow with the word "Download" above the file. Be sure to Download the .zip archive to your computer. Do not Open it from the location.

Step 4 - Once the download has finished, locate the .zip archive where you saved it. Typically it is in the Downloads folder in your user folder on the computer. Right-click on the .zip archive and select Extract All. Once extracted, you should see the installation files to continue the process.

Step 5 -Double-click on 29.0-IM-S29STATC-WIN65-MD001.exe setup program.

Step 6 - Click Next.

Step 7 -Accept the License Agreement.

Step 8 -Click Next.

Step 9 -Click Install.

Step 10 -Click Finish.

Step 11 - When you first launch SPSS, you will be asked to Activate IBM SPSS Statistics.  Click "Launch License Wizard".  Continue to the next step: SPSS Licensing to review the choices available to you to activate your copy.

Step 12 - Next Step: SPSS Licensing

 

Outcome

You have successfully upgraded or installed SPSS on your Windows device.
