Degree Works Features

“What-If” Feature

This feature allows the student and their advisor to create a hypothetical degree audit for a different major at UNH using your current academic history. The “What-If” audit will show you what coursework is required for the new major, what courses you have taken that satisfy requirements, and what courses would still be left to complete. The “What-If” feature is for informational purposes only. To officially change your major, you will need to submit a request through Webcat.

To process a “What-If” audit:

  1. Select the What-If tab on the degree audit.
  2. Select the catalog year, degree, and level of the new major you are proposing.“What-If” audit.
Note: You must change the degree to match the new major. For example, if you are currently a Bachelor of Science major and are looking to change to a Bachelor of Arts, you must update the degree to ensure all curriculum requirements are listed on the "What-If" audit.
  3. Select proposed major.
  4. Select process to view the “What-If” audit.

Look Ahead Feature

The Look Ahead function is a planning tool that allows you to see a degree audit showing courses for which you plan to register in future semesters. It is found at the bottom of the “What-If” screen. Please note, that this does not register students for classes. Registration occurs directly in Webcat.
