Logger Pro - MAC

Summary

Logger Pro is an academic software that is used for data collection, analysis, and visualization. This article describes the overview of Logger Pro, and how to install it on MacOS devices.

 

Installation

Task: To install Logger Pro to your MacOS devices.

The following instructions will install the required files on your computer to use Logger Pro. This procedure only needs to be performed once, but it must be done on every individual computer on which you wish to use Logger Pro.

Instructions

Step 1 - Connect to the repository for the installation files from UNH Logger Pro. This folder is accessible to all UNH account holders, but you may have to login with your UNH username and password to gain access.

Step 2 - Open the folder for Logger Pro MacOS. The currently licensed version is: 3.15

Step 3- You will see an archive for the software. In this case, it will be a .dmg disk image file. Download this by clicking on the item and then clicking on the black Download button that appears in the middle of the browser window.

Step 4 - Once the download has finished, open the archive from the download location that your browser uses. Typically, this is the Downloads folder in your user folder on the computer. When you open the archive, you should see the installation files to continue the process.

Step 5 - Double-click the Install Logger Pro.mpkg file to start the installation.

Step 6 - Proceed through the installer, accepting the default installation location and options. Click Continue as necessary to start the installation process.

Step 7 - When the installer has finished, click the Close button to exit the installer.

Step 8 - Update Logger Pro to the latest release by double-clicking on the Update Logger Pro 3.pkg file.

Step 9 - Similar to the first installation, proceed through the update installer, accepting defaults and clicking Continue and Update to start the process.

Step 10 - Click Close when the update has finished.

Step 11 - Once the installation is complete, you may discard the installation archive you downloaded in the initial steps.

 

Using Logger Pro

Once you have completed the installation, you can run Logger Pro by double-clicking the application in the Logger Pro 3 folder inside the Applications folder, or you can drag the item to your Dock to create an icon on the Dock for easy access. Logger Pro is installed entirely on your local computer, and you do not need a connection to UNH's network to run it.

Uninstalling Logger Pro

If you wish to remove Logger Pro from your computer, delete the Logger Pro 3 folder from the Applications menu.
