Summary
This article provides information about Amazon Web Services (AWS) at USNH, available to researchers across campuses either directly or through the USNH RONIN service.
Content
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive and widely-used cloud computing platform. It offers a variety of services and tools that enable users to build, deploy, and manage applications and services on the internet.
AWS supports most EC2 cloud computing types to meet any computational requirements.
RONIN
The RONIN service allows USNH researchers to easily manage their AWS resources, including:
- cloud computing (EC2),
- high performance computing (HPC, scalable clusters),
- storage (S3), and
- AWS backups.
Additionally, RONIN:
- manages your AWS budget,
- calculates cost estimates,
- tracks usage, and
- provides safeguards against overspending.
RONIN also integrates into a shared USNH data repository and provides a variety of pre-installed software packages.
