Summary
This article has instructions for how to request a static IP address for certain types of systems on the wired network.
Content
If you require a static IP address please use the "IP Provisioning" tool available at https://networking.usnh.edu/provision . Sign in with your username, without @usnh.edu (like jbd2519, not jbd2519@usnh.edu), and USNH password.
Static IP addresses are available for server systems and devices that require unsolicited communication, and occasionally as members of certain networks not supported by dynamic addressing (DHCP.) End user devices (your phones, desktop/laptop computers, etc) do not require a static address in most cases.
Static addresses are available to faculty and staff members, and students under the sponsorship of a staff or faculty member.
Static addresses are not available for residence hall devices or for devices on the wireless networks.
