WebI: Using Send button within an open report

Summary

This article will walk you through troubleshooting steps if the send button in WebI is grayed out.

 

Issue

The Send button is grayed out on the menu bar of an open WebI report.

Cause

Expected function of WebI.

 

Resolution

You cannot Send from within a report; you must do so from the Document tab. To send a report, follow these steps:

Step 1 - Click the Save icon on the report's menu bar.

Step 2 - Save the report within a My Favorites folder.

Step 3 - Go to the Documents tab and select the My Favorites folder you saved the report to, then select the report you saved in step 2 above.

Step 4 - On the Documents tab's menu bar, select Send, and then BI Inbox.

Step 5 - After choosing recipients and completing other necessary fields, click the Send button in the bottom right.
