Xtender: Move a Batch

Body

Summary

This tip is for anyone using the web version of Xtender, who would like to move a batch, or part of a batch, from one application to another.

Sometimes a batch ends up in the wrong application. How to get it where it should be? Well, you could always rescan it - or, even easier, you could move it to the correct application. Use the steps below to move a batch.

Note: You have a few choices when you do this. You could move all the pages, or just some of them. You could also copy the pages, rather than moving them.

How-To

Task: Move a batch, or part of a batch.

Instructions

  1. Open the batch.

  2. Click the Copy Move Pages button.
    copy move page button

  3. The Copy or Move Pages to New Batch dialog box appears.
copy move pages to new batch dialog box

  4. Enter the pages you wish to move and select the application to move the batch to. By default, the batch will be named with your user name and a time stamp. Enter a different batch name if you'd like.

  5. If you would like to index the new batch immediately, select the Index New Document checkbox.

  6. Click the Move button. The batch will be moved to the batch list in the application that you selected. If you chose to index the new document immediately, that batch will open for indexing.

Outcome

You should be able to move a batch, or part of a batch.
