How-To

Task: To use filtering to view closed tickets. 

Instructions

Step 1 - Open your department’s ticketing application, e.g. ESM, then select Tickets in the left-hand navigator to populate the search bar across the top with the Filter button at right hand end. (It may take a few seconds before the search bar with the filter funnel shows up)

Step 2 - Click on the Filter button.

Step 3 - In the top "General" section, scroll down to the "Current Status" field.

Step 4 - Click inside the "Current Status" field and choose the Closed status. Tip: click the [Select all] check box twice to clear all statuses. Alternatively, select any other statuses you want to see in the filtered results.

Step 5 - Apply additional filters if desired to further limit the search results. For example: under the "Responsibility" section, find the "Primary Responsibility" field and type in or search for the responsible person’s name using the magnifying glass, or "Primary Group Responsibility" and type in the name of the team.

Step 6 - Scroll up to the top of the filtering options and click the Apply button to display tickets with Status Closed and matching any other filters you selected.

 

Outcome

Your closed tickets are displayed.
