Kaltura: Hiding/Removing Captions from a Video (ETS Internal)

• Log in to MediaSpace at media.unh.edu
• Navigate to My Media Under your name in the upper right
• Find the video where captions need to be removed
• Click the Edit icon (pencil) to the right of the video
• Once in Edit, choose Captions.

What do the icons mean?

1. Edit the captions
2. Delete the caption file
3. Download the caption file
4. Hide captions on playback
5. Make this caption file the default.  Videos can have several caption files, mainly for different languages

• It is recommended to use 4, Hiding the captions on playback.  This will allow the owner to turn them back on if needed and not have to recreate the captions.
• To delete Captions, use the "X" icon, this will remove the captions file and they will no longer be available.  If captions are needed again, the owner would need to Request captions again.
