Instructions
Step 1 - In a web browser, go to https://portal.office.com
Step 2 - If you are not automatically signed in to Microsoft 365 Online, the Microsoft Sign-in window displays. Type in your username@usnh.edu (example: jbd2519@usnh.edu), click Next.
Step 3 - When the USNH password screen opens, type in your USNH Password, and click Submit. If required, verify your identity with one of your multi-factor authentication (MFA) sign-in methods.
Step 4 - On the Welcome to Microsoft 365 page, click Install and more in the upper right, then choose Install Microsoft 365 apps.
Step 5 - On the next page, click Install Office to download the installation files to your downloads folder. If a pop-up window asking permission to continue this download displays, click Allow.
Step 6 - Open the downloaded installation folder, double-click the Office Installer icon to launch the installation wizard.
Step 7 - Click Continue.
Step 8 - On the Office License Terms window, click Continue.
Step 9 - Click Agree when prompted by the terms of the license agreement.
Step 10 - Select your install location, or leave the default location selected, and click Install.
Step 11 - You maybe prompted to close your browser before the installation begins. Click Close Application and Install.
Step 12 - Depending on your security settings, you might be prompted to enter your computer password to install the software. Enter your computer password and click Install Software.
Step 13 - When installation is finished, click Continue.
Step 14 - On the successful installation window, click Close.
Outcome
Office 365 is successfully installed. Check your dock or applications list to find the programs.
Next Steps
When you initially launch any of the Office applications, the Microsoft Sign-in window displays, enter your username@usnh.edu and the same password that you used on the initial download site. If required, verify your identity with one of your multi-factor authentication (MFA) sign-in methods.
