Connecting to the KSC VPN and accessing resources remotely as an employee, student, or vendor is dependent on security groups and there are several requirements.
Employees must connect using a KSC owned device. Vendors connect via the web VPN. Students only utilize VPN to access UNH resources such as Banner and Xtender.
Security Groups for VPN Connectivity and access to UNH Resources:
Any of the security groups in the OU UNH-VPN will allow connection to the KSC VPN and access to the UNH resources allowed based on that security group. Student Employees can also be included in these security groups.
Changes to these security groups is done by IAM via requests to resources processed by the Business Office
Security Groups for VPN Connectivity and access to KSC Resources remotely - For access to Colleague, the Q: drive, Medicat, Titanium etc.
Remote access to KSC resources is requested via the remote access request form.
Employee
PC Users: Remote Network Users
Mac Users: Remote Mac Network Users
Vendor Access to VPN and resources:
VPN: Remote Access Vendor
Additional access for Vendors is done by security group specific to the vendor group - i.e. Ferrilli2 for Colleague consultants, Honeywell for the Honeywell vendors.
