Summary
These instructions are provided to help assist users with updating desktop based Apple Mail and Calendar Applications for the USNH Unified M365 environment. There are two parts, 1) removing the old campus based account, and 2) adding the account for the Unified environment.

Part 1: Removing the old campus based account
Step 1. Open the Apple Mac Mail email client:
Step 2. Go to Mail > Preferences in the upper left menu next to the Apple icon:
Step 3. Select the "Accounts Tab":
Step 4. Under the accounts listing, select your campus account and click the minus (-) button at the bottom of the list. This will remove the account from the desktop based apple mail application on your computer but will not impact the email on the web. You may have other accounts listed in the accounts listing (i.e. Gmail or iCloud) - these accounts are not impacted by this process and should be left as is.
Step 5. Quit out of the Apple mail client.
Part 2: Adding the USNH unifed M365 email and calendar accounts
Step 1. Open the Apple Mac Mail email client:
Step 2. Go to Mail -> Preferences in the upper left menu next to the Apple icon:
Step 3. Select the "Accounts Tab":
Step 4. Under the accounts listing, click the Plus (+) button at the bottom of the list:
Step 5. Select "Microsoft Exchange" then click the "Continue" button
Step 6. Enter the following information:
Name: Enter your First and Last Name
Email Address: Enter your username@usnh.edu (fully qualified username, e.g. jbd2519@usnh.edu)
Click the "Sign In" button
Step 7. Click "Sign-in" to be passed over to the log in page for the Unified Microsoft 365 environment:
Step 8. On the USNH Enter Password page, enter your password and click Sign In. If required, verify your identity with one of your multi-factor authentication (MFA) sign-in methods.
Step 9. You will be passed back to the Apple Mail Application and asked to "Select" the other apple applications you want to use with this account. This is where you would select the Apple Calendar app and any other features to sync with the Microsoft 365 Outlook environment. Once you have made your selections, click the "Done" button
Step 10. Your Apple mail and Calendar (and any other apps you chose above) will now be synced with the Unified Microsoft 365 environment. Depending upon how much data and email you have in the cloud, it may take a few minutes or even a couple hours for the email and calendar entries to fully sync from the Cloud based environment.
