This article provides instructions for connecting to USNH Campus-Open Guest Wireless. 

 

How-To

Guests or any individual without USNH credentials will log into the wireless on the respective Campus-Open network: KSC-Open, PSU-Open, or UNH-Open.

 

Task: To connect to USNH Open Guest Wireless Network on a Windows laptop.

Important: By connecting to the USNH network, you agree to abide by the USNH Acceptable Use Policy.  Please review the USNH Acceptable Use Policy prior to signing into the USNH network.

Instructions

Step 1 - To connect, select the WiFi symbol in your system tray at the bottom right of your screen.

Step 2 - A list of available networks will appear.  Select the Campus-Open network for your campus and click “Connect”. 

Step 3 - A campus-specific registration screen will display, if not navigate your browser to wifi.usnh.edu. Please review the linked policy documents prior to signing in.

Step 4 - As a campus guest, click the appropriate link to sign in using your Google or LinkedIn account. Alternatively, to register with your personal email address, click where it says "No account? Click here."

Note: This example illustrates the Network Registration process at UNH. Instructions remain consistent across all campuses, with variations in the campus names depending on your location.

Step 5 (Optional) - If you are not redirected to the campus registration page, try to visit a random website you haven’t visited before (such as loc.gov, cnn.com, nascar.com, etc.).  If the website comes up as expected, then your device is already registered and you are finished.  If you are redirected to the registration page, proceed with the registration instructions above..

  • Certain browsers may have security warnings, accept the risk, and proceed to the website until you are redirected.

 

Step 6 - Once the registration is complete you will receive something similar to the following message:

 

Outcome

Your Windows laptop is now connected to USNH Campus-Open Guest Wireless Network.

 

Task: To connect to USNH Open Guest Wireless Network on a MacOS laptop.

Important: By connecting to the USNH network, you agree to abide by the USNH Acceptable Use Policy.  Please review the USNH Acceptable Use Policy prior to signing into the USNH network.

Instructions

Step 1 - At the top right of your screen click on the WiFi symbol.

Step 2 - In the menu that drops down you should see a list of available wireless networks.  Select the Campus-Open network for your campus and click “Connect”. 

Step 3 - Then follow the instructions as listed above for Windows laptops.

 

Outcome

Your MacOS laptop is now connected to the USNH Campus-Open Guest Wireless Network.

 

Task: To connect to USNH Open Guest Wireless Network on a Mobile device.

Important: By connecting to the USNH network, you agree to abide by the USNH Acceptable Use Policy.  Please review the USNH Acceptable Use Policy prior to signing into the USNH network.

Instructions

Step 1 - Go to settings.

Step 2 - Click on WiFi and select the Campus-Open network for your campus and click “Connect”. 

Step 3 - If you are not automatically prompted, open a web browser and go here for KSC, here for PSU, or here for UNH.  Follow the onscreen instructions to register and connect. 

 

Outcome

Your Mobile device is now connected to USNH Campus-Open Guest Wireless Network.
