Creating a WebI to Hyper Delivery Workflow

Summary

If users are planning to deliver to a Hyper file to Tableau, it is best practice to create a workflow for this delivery method. This will make it easier for users to update different elements of the workflow when needed.
 

How-To

Task: Follow the instructions below to create a delivery Workflow from a WebI file. 

 

Instructions

  1. Log in to InfoBurst
  2. Navigate to your “My Home” folder

     
  3. Click on the New button and select Workflow.

     
  4. Choose WebI to Tableau Hyper
  5. Select Continue to display a dropdown menu of available WebI report folders

     
  6. Browse to the correct Webi Report and select Continue.

     
  7. Enter any required Webi Prompts (Select LOV for a list of field values) and select Continue. (Note: the prompts will vary for each report)
     
  8. Select a project for your Tableau Delivery by clicking on the folder icon. Enter a File name if you want the data source to be named something other than the report name. Select replace if you want your file to overwrite each time it runs. Select the desired report tab. Then select Continue                

     
  9. Choose a schedule from the drop down menu and fill in the frequency prompts.



     
  10. Select Run Now then Save the workflow.

 

Outcome

You should be able to see and use the Hyper file in Tableau.
