How-To

Google Chrome

Task: To export/import bookmarks from Google Chrome

Instructions

Step 1 - Click the "Three dots on the top right

Step 2 - Select "Bookmarks and lists", then select "Bookmark manager"

Step 3 - Click the "Three dots on the top right of the bookmark manager, then select "Export bookmarks" or "Import bookmarks"

Step 4 - Export and Import

  • If you choose Export Name, and Save the .HTML file
  • If you choose Import - Locate and select the .HTML file that you have saved, or choose "Import from another browser" if desired.

 

Outcome

Your bookmarks are now successfully exported/imported from Google Chrome. The bookmarks HTML file you saved is now ready for backup or migration to a different browser or computer.

Microsoft Edge

Task: To export favorites from Microsoft Edge

Instructions

Step 1 - Click the "Three dotson the top right

Step 2 - Select "Favorites"

Step 3 - Click the "Three dotson the top right of the Favorites, then select "Export favorites" or "Import favorites"

Step 4 - Export and Import

  • If you choose Export Name, and Save the .HTML file
  • If you choose Import - Locate and select the .HTML file that you have saved, or choose "Import from another browser" if desired.

 

Outcome

Your favorites are now successfully exported/imported from Microsoft Edge. The favorites HTML file you saved is now ready for backup or migration to a different browser or computer.

Mozilla Firefox

Task: To export bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox

Instructions

Step 1 - Click the "Three barson the top right

Step 2 - Select "Bookmarks"

Step 3 - At the bottom of all the bookmarks, select "Manage bookmarks"

Step 4 - Select the "Two arrows" for import and backup, then select "Export bookmarks to HTML..."

Step 5 - Export and Import

  • If you choose Export Name, and Save the .HTML file
  • If you choose Import - Locate and select the .HTML file that you have saved, or choose "Import from another browser" if desired.

Apple Safari

Task: To export bookmarks from Apple Safari

Instructions

Step 1 - Select "File" on the top left

Step 2 - Select "Export". then select "Bookmarks..."
