Task: Explain what Canvas Extend is and who may might want to use it.
What is Canvas Extend?
The Extend instance of Canvas is for courses associated with the University System of New Hampshire, but will have non-USNH students enrolled (USNH students can be enrolled as well along with the non-USNH students.)
Important Information
- The Extend instance of Canvas is a “no-frills” instance. It does not contain any LTIs (Learning Tools Interoperability) that you may be familiar with in other instances of Canvas (such as Kaltura.)
- There is a cost. For FY25, the cost is $12.40 per non-USNH user per year.
- Expect an approximate increase in cost of 3% per year.
- Pro-rated payment is due up-front at the establishment of a course and then annually every June 1st.
