Overview
On December 19, 2024, Banner HR stopped accepting employee changes and all HR data was converted to Workday. For Directed Communications, this requires a change in the data source for Employee Lists from Banner to Workday. There will be a scheduled outage to perform this change once final approvals are received.
Details
New Data Extensions provided with Workday Employee data will replace the old Banner HR Employee-related Data Extensions. A mapping of the old to new Data Extensions is provided here: Data Extensions Crosswalk

- A week before the change to the new data extensions, a communication will be sent out to users of Directed Communications with further details.
Timeline
- Banner HR-related employee data extensions were frozen as of Dec. 19, 2024. No changes to Employee Lists are possible at this time.
- Once approval to activate the new Workday Employee Data Extensions is received, then the specific outage window date and time will be determined.
- Directed Communications will be unavailable during the outage window to move user permissions from the old Banner HR to the new Workday Employee Data Extensions.
- Users of Directed Communications should not pre-schedule sends to employees during the outage window because the old data extensions will no longer be available. Please plan accordingly.
- All communications to USNH Employees using Directed Communications after the outage window should use the new Workday Employee Data Extensions.
