Personal Websites

mySites at USNH

University-branded WordPress themes and templates are provided, making a mySites a great fit for beginners and experienced users alike. Site owners are responsible for the designs and content within these sites.

Recommended for:

  • Beginner, intermediate & advanced users
  • Lab work, research, blogging, classroom projects and other uses
  • In-class/internally-facing projects

Enterprise Technology & Services provides updates and maintenance to this Wordpress platform, but site owners are responsible for the designs and content within these sites. mySites may allow users to choose part of their URL (e.g. sites.usnh.edu/yourname).

When requesting a new website, please include the preferred site title and url. The url format will be sites.usnh.edu/yourname

Domain of One's Own

USNH Domains allows users to build fully customizable, complex sites through cPanel accounts and instantly install top web applications. Site owners are responsible for the development, maintenance and operation of any installed sites and applications.

Recommended for:

  • Intermediate & advanced users with complex projects related to research or scholarly work
  • Non-university branded projects 
More About Domain of One's Own

Domains users are given the option to choose a part or full site URL (e.g. yourname.usnh.domains or yourname.org). Partial domain options are free but there is a charge for a full custom domain.

When requesting a new website, please include the preferred site title, along with a preferred url if you are not purchasing a custom domain. The url format is  yourname.domains.usnh.edu

 

University Branded Sites

USNH Branded websites provide USNH colleges, schools, departments, offices, services and other organizations USNH-affiliated websites on a university system server. USNH ET&S Software Development offers site design, development, guidelines, training and ongoing support to set up and maintain USNH Drupal websites.

Intranet Sites

Intranet sites are primarily designed for use by internal USNH audiences. They can help facilitate communication and collaboration between groups and allow for shared access to documents and files. Links to intranet documents can be also be shared with external audiences. These sites are built in SharePoint, the university's primary intranet file sharing application.

More About SharePoint Sites Sites

A USNH Sharepoint intranet site is a private portal where university members can see and share news, updates, and documentation. Public links to files can be shared, and external members can be added to a site. Enterprise Technology & Services (ET&S) offers instruction and support and with setting up and maintaining SharePoint websites.

 

USNH Pressbooks

Pressbooks is an easy-to-use book publishing platform for creating and self-publishing books in several formats: e-books, web versions, and PDFs. 

 

Custom Web & Mobile Applications

The ET&S Software Development team can support custom development requests for grant funded research.   Consultation and proposals for funding are also supported.
