This article describes what's new in Enhanced Rubrics. It will also describe how to enable Enhanced Rubrics and use it in your course.

- A horizontal and vertical view of the rubric when assessing students, in addition to the traditional view

- Allow students to self-assess using the rubric
- The ability to import a rubric using a CSV template
How-To
Task: Enable and use Enhanced Rubrics
Enabling the Enhanced Rubrics will convert the existing rubrics to the new Enhanced rubrics and the new editing features.
- You can revert the rubrics back to Classic Rubric going to Settings and selecting Disable.
- Enabling and disabling the Enhanced Rubrics will not result in a loss or corruption of the Rubrics.
Instructions
Step 1 - In the course, go to Settings. Find Feature Options and turn on "Enhanced Rubrics"
Step 2 - In the course menu, select Rubrics. Notice all your existing Rubrics are now converted to the "Enhanced Rubric" format
Step 3 - New features allow you to Update existing rubrics
- Use the Drag & Drop option to reorder the Criterion
- Change the Rating Order using the drop-down menu at the top right of the rubric home page
- Copy or Duplicate an existing Rubric
- Archive the Rubric. (make inactive)
Step 4 - The old +Rubric button has been replaced by Create Rubric or Find Rubric. The Find Rubric option allows you to add an existing rubric and now appears as a side-bar fly out.
Note: You can disable the Enhanced Rubrics and convert back to the previous Rubrics without losing any rubric content.
Outcome
You will be able to enable and use Enhanced Rubrics.
Task: Create an Enhanced Rubric
Instructions
Step 1 - In the Rubrics area, select Create New Rubric
Step 2 - Add Criterion and Ratings
Step 3 - Choose Save as Draft or Create Rubric
