Completing Form I-9 Section 2 as an Authorized Representative:
An employee at the University System of New Hampshire has selected you to assist with the completion of the Form I-9 process. The University System of New Hampshire asks that you act as our Authorized Representative to complete the Form I-9 Section 2, document verification process. You will access the Form I-9 Section 2 using the link provided via email from USNH Workday System <usnh@myworkday.com>.
With the employee present, allow the employee to provide documentation from the List of Acceptable Documents. Do not advise the employee on which documents they can provide. Provide the list if the employee has any questions regarding the acceptable documents. Documents presented must be original and unexpired. Do NOT accept photocopies, digital images, or expired documents. Form I-9 documents must be inspected in person.
Employees may provide documents from List A OR a combination of a document in List B AND List C

1. Review your personal information and complete/correct required fields. Check the box next to "I Agree" to acknowledge you will accurately complete Form I-9 Section 2 for the employee.
Click Next.

2. Document Selection—choose the document the employee is presenting from the appropriate List A OR List B and List C document options. Enter all the required fields for each document by entering the information exactly as it appears on the employee’s document(s).
If you are unable to choose the document provided by the employee from List A, ask the employee to confirm their citizenship/immigration status, as the document choices coincide with the citizenship/immigration status chosen in Section 1 by the employee.

Note: Issuing Authority is required for all document types
If the Issuing Authority is not available in the “Select Issuing Authority” list of options, select “Enter Issuing Authority” and enter the information as free text.
Example: List B Document Title: School ID Card with photograph. Select “Enter Issuing Authority” and enter the name of the school that issued the ID in the text box.
3. Review/Certify—On the Section 2 information review page, review all the information entered. If corrections are necessary, click Back to return to the prior page and make the necessary corrections. If the information is correct, click "I Agree" to acknowledge you have correctly completed the Section 2 process.

Title of Authorized Representative: Enter "Authorized Representative" and your relationship with the employee.
Ex: Authorized Representative – Parent or Authorized Representative – Notary
First and Last Name of Authorized Representative: Enter your name in the First and Last Name fields.
Do NOT change the default Employer's Business Name or Address fields.
Click Submit to complete the process.
