Large image files can quickly fill up storage capacity in USNH Domains and mySites at USNH WordPress installations. A number of image optimization and plugin options are available to help with image size management.

WordPress.com is a free and open-source place to build and manage websites that can be shared with users outside the USNH system and does not require an active USNH account. Faculty, staff, and students who need or want to create content in a web-format that can be shared publicly, such as blogs or eportfolios, can create a free account to get started.

ET&S does not currently support individual WordPress.com sites.

Free personal websites are offered to members of the University community for the duration of their time at USNH. Uses include personal blogs, sites for class projects, and lab websites. Personal website owners are responsible for managing their site’s design, administration, and content.
