Report a Cybersecurity Incident

The Cybersecurity Operations team is available to assist in responding to and investigating events and incidents that may have cybersecurity implications.   

 

Emergency Cybersecurity Incidents 

To report an emergency cybersecurity incident, call your campus Help Desk and alert the support technician that you need to report an emergency cybersecurity incident.

Examples of Emergency Cybersecurity Incidents: 

  • Computer account(s) accessed by an unauthorized person 

  • Compromise of credentials resulting from malware infection, phishing attack, or improper disclosure of password(s) to an unauthorized person 

  • Device(s) infected with ransomware 

  • Unauthorized access to, alteration of, or activity within a University information system 

  • Stolen USNH-owned computers or technology equipment 

  • Phishing attacks, denial of service attacks, or defaced websites 

 

 

Non-Emergency Cybersecurity Incidents 

To report a non-emergency cybersecurity incident, use the "Report Incident" button on this page. Cybersecurity Incident response for non-emergencies is available Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM Eastern time, holidays excepted. 

Examples of Non-Emergency Cybersecurity Incidents that need to be reported: 

  • Unintentional or intentional disclosure of protected University data to an unauthorized person or people 

  • Computing policy violations, including illegal or prohibited uses
