Installing Sibelius

Task: To install Sibelius on your devices

Instructions

Step 1 - Connect to the repository for the installation files from UNH Sibelius. This folder is accessible to all UNH account holders, but you may have to login with your USNH username and password to gain access.

Step 2 - Open the Sibelius folder for the version and operating system you would like to install. The currently licensed version is: 2023.6

Step 3 - You will see an archive for the software. In this case, it will be a .zip archive file. Download this by clicking on the item and then clicking on the black Download button that appears in the middle of the browser window. Be sure to Download the .zip archive to your computer. Do not Open it from the location.

Step 4 - Once the download has finished, locate the file downloaded. Typically it is in the Downloads folder in your user folder, when you open the archive, you should see the installation files to continue the process.

Step 5 - Double-click the Install_Sibelius.exe or Install_Sibelius.dmg to begin the installation.

Step 6 - Proceed through the installation program accepting the default options.

Step 7 - When the setup process completes, you may optionally install any of the accessory programs that work with Sibelius including AudioScore Lite and PhotoScore Lite.

Step 8 - The first time you run Sibelius, the program will request that you activate the software. Click the Specify License Server button.

Step 9 - Enter academic.unh.edu as the name of the license server.

Step 10 - Once the installation is complete, you may discard the installation archive you downloaded in the initial steps.

 

Outcome

Sibelius has been successfully installed on your device.
