If you have followed the instructions in the Connecting a Smart TV, Roku, etc article and your Smart TV apps do not work, it may be because the device is not requesting an IP address. The steps below are an example of the simple fix on a Vizio brand TV - your Smart TV should have similar menu options:

 

Instructions

Step 1Turn on the TV.

Step 2Press the Menu button on your remote.

Step 3Select Manual Setup.

Step 4 - You will see a section at the top labeled DHCP. Toggle this to ON.

Step 5 - Turn your TV off, wait a minute, and then turn it on again.

Step 6 - If this fails, we recommend performing a factory reset on the device.

 

Note: Non-browsing devices should not attempt to use the eduroam wireless network.
