UNH LinkedUp Mobile App

Summary

LinkedUp is a mobile app designed specifically for students. You'll be able to meet new friends, connect with UNH clubs and organizations and explore events. You'll also receive important campus information and alerts, such as push and banner notifications letting you know when classes or activities are canceled, or buildings are closed.

Log in

Open the app and log in with your UNH credentials, username, and the password associated with your email account. 

 

Dashboard Screen

On the dashboard screen, you'll find alerts, quick links, links to any upcoming events you've selected, information on any recent connections you've made, and a list of suggested connections, or "links."

Upcoming Events: These are events you have favorited in the Events section of the app. For additional details, click on the event. The Attending section highlights the number of your contacts who plan to attend.

Recent Links: This highlights any connections you have recently made through the app. Click on a link to see that user's profile.

Suggested Links: The app suggests additional connections to help you find users with similar activity or interests. Click on a user to see their profile.

Review Your Profile

The My Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar will allow you to review and update your profile. After clicking on the profile icon, select the pencil icon in the upper right to add a photo, biography, and select hobbies and interests. You also chose to display your courses and campus address, and add your social media profiles.

 

Groups

Click on a group in the Groups section of your profile to access your group settings.

You also will see the Groups you have joined listed in your profile.

 

Search Profiles

Look for friends or contacts by using the Profiles search feature in the bottom navigation bar. Click on the magnifying glass icon to access this feature. Enter part or all of a person's first or last name to search for a profile. You'll then be able to view that individual's profile within the app.

 

Link To Connect

Link up with others by selecting the Links icon in the bottom navigation bar. In this screen, you'll be able to review your current links and connect with others.

  • Tap on the Link icon in the lower left corner to display your QR code. Have others in the app scan your code to link up.
  • Tap on the Scanner icon in the lower right to scan other users' QR codes and connect. (You will need to grant the app access to your camera.)

Main Navigation

The hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the app screen gives you access to the following features:

  • Alerts: Manage your alerts
  • Events: View upcoming campus events
  • My Events: Review and manage events you've favorited
  • My Tags: Create personalized tags to manage your contacts
  • Student Organizations: Search and discover student organizations across campus
  • Groups: Connect with your groups in Microsoft Teams
  • Tutorial: View a video tutorial on how to use this app. [Link not available yet]

Alerts

See any recent alert messages.

  • Click on an alert to read more information.
  • Swipe right to mark the alert as Read or Unread.

Events

View campus events and search by keyword using the top search bar.

  • Select your preferred view option:
    • List - all upcoming events
    • Week - events in the current week
    • Month - events in the current month
  • Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner to adjust the calendars you would like to view. Select from the Academic, Student Life and the Wildcat Link calendar.
  • After selecting an event, you will have the option to favorite the event, add the event to your calendar or view the event link fro more information.

 

My Events

View events that you plan to attend.

  • Click on the event for additional information.
    • Click the Interested In Attending button to favorite or un-favorite the event.
    • Click Attending people to see a list of your contacts who plan to attend
    • View which calendar the event is from, and click on the Event link to see the event in the calendar.
    • To add events to the calendar on your phone, allow calendar access for the app and click the calendar icon in the upper right corner of the event screen.

My Tags

Tags allow you to sort and group your contacts. The main screen will display any tags you have created.

  • To add a tag:
    • Look for the Add Tag option in the upper right corner of the screen.
    • Name your new tag and select a color option, then hit Submit.
    • Back in the main screen, click on the tag and search for your contacts to add relevant links.
    • Contacts may have multiple tags.

 

Student Organizations

View an alphabetical listing of all student organizations.

  • Use the search feature at the top of the screen to find organizations that fit your interests.
  • Click on the filter icon in the upper right corner and scroll to filter your results by category.

Groups

Select My Groups to view the your group memberships. The following tabs are available:

  • My groups: This is the default view and displays all groups you belong to in Microsoft Teams.
    • Select a group to see a list of members and group owners.
    • To favorite an open group, select the star in the top right corner of the screen.
  • Favorites: This list shows any groups you have favorited.
  • All groups: View a list of all groups in the app.
  • Select the Arrow icon in the top right of the screen to open the Micorsoft Teams app and interact with any groups.
  • Select the refresh icon in the upper right corner of the screen to refresh the group tabs.
