Task: Creating hyperlinks on Mahara

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Once in Mahara, click on Main Menu in the upper right side of the dashboard page indicated by horizontal lines.

Step 2 - Click on the down arrow next to Create title.

Step 3 - Click on the Pages and Collections sub-title.

Step 4 - Click on title of Page you want to edit.

Step 5 - Click the Pencil Icon button (edit mode).

Step 6 - Drag a Note block to the portfolio page (found under the General title on block type menu on left side of screen)

Step 7 - Under the Block Content title, click the down-arrow button to toggle the text editor toolbar on.

Step 8 - Place your cursor in the text box where you would like the link to locate. Click the link button (looks like an diagonal 8 or chain)

Step 9 - Paste the URL of the page you'd like to link to into the URL section.

Step 10 - Add text to the Text to display section.

Step 11 - Click OK, then click Save.

Step 12 - Click Display Page under page title to test the link!

 

Outcome

Users should be able to create hyperlinks on Mahara pages.
