This article describes a two different methods for copying a portfolio template. This article will be most helpful to PSU faculty interested in learning a two different ways to copy a portfolio template.

Task: Copy a portfolio template

 

Instructions

There are two ways to copy a portfolio template. Method 1 uses Template Directions that will walk you through how to customize a template for a specific program. Method 2 copies a Template from a list of programs.

Step 1 - Login to Mahara.

Step 2 - Scroll down and click on the last large square on the left side called Portfolio Templates.

 

Method 1:

Step 1 - Under the title Teacher Preparation Program Template Directions, find the program you need and click on that document.

Step 2 - Click download. The document will be placed in your download folder on your computer.

Step 3 - Open the document and follow the directions.

 

Method 2:

On the left side and middle columns are lists of available templates.

Step 1- Click on the template name you want to copy.

Step 2 - Click the "..." icon in the upper right corner.

Step 3 - Click Copy from the drop-down menu.

Step 4 - Click the Collection button. If the template is not a collection, the page will automatically copy when you click the Copy button.

Step 5 - Dodd, "First Name, Last Name, Name of Collection" "Todd Rename the Collection

Step 6 - Click either the Next: Edit collection pages button for collections or Save button for a single page.

Step 7 - For collections, click the Done button on edit collection pages.

Step 8 - You now have the template copied in your Create -> Pages and Collection section of Mahara.

 

Outcome

Users should be able to copy a portfolio template.
