Summary
This article outlines required steps on how to use the One Button Studio found in the Parker Media Lab in Dimond 237. The One Button Studio is an area comprised of lighting a camera, microphone, green screen and computer to record high quality presentations.

Task: Using the One Button Studio in the Parker Media Lab
Instructions:

Using the knobs on the back of the large tripod light or on top of the small tripod light, you may adjust the lighting intensity as you would like it to be set

Adjust camera’s pan and tilt using the Power Panner remote on the presenter’s table

The idea is that by using pan, tilt and zoom, to get just the green screen in the frame of the camera

You may select different backgrounds by pressing Green Screen on the Stream Deck

You may select the Gold, Blue or Office motif using the buttons on the top row

You may also select different picture in picture (PIP) scenarios as well as share the content of your screen using the various buttons on the Stream Deck. You may set these ahead of time or switch them any time during your recording

Turn off the overhead lights using the light switches at the rear or front of the room

Take the microphone and clip the long cylindrical part on your waistline or place it on the presenter’s table and clip the microphone roughly 8-10 inches below your mouth.

Start your recording using the Record button on the Stream Deck on the presenter’s table. There will be a several second countdown before the recording begins

You may pause the recording at any time by using the Pause button on the Stream Deck and continue the recording using the Unpause button

When finished, stop the recording using the Stop button on the Stream Deck
Retrieving recordings:

Click on the Video Recordings shortcut on the desktop of the computer to locate the folder with your recording(s). You may also push the Review button on the Stream Deck to access them

Plug a thumb drive or external hard drive into either USB port on the top of the equipment rack

Click on the USB Drive shortcut on the desktop to open your drive and then drag your recording(s) to it

When you are certain you’ve successfully copied your files, please delete your recordings from the hard drive of the computer
