Understanding Microsoft Education LTI
Microsoft Education has officially launched the new Microsoft Education LTI tool, streamlining how faculty interact with Microsoft tools inside Canvas. This update replaces the legacy Teams Meetings and Teams Classes LTI tools, which will be retired. USNH will be replacing it with the new unified Microsoft 365 LTI tool. The new Microsoft Education LTI should include any of your previously included Microsoft items (Meetings and/or Teams).
The new Microsoft 365 LTI brings together popular education tools — Teams and Teams Meetings — into a single integration.
Teams Functionality Outline
The Teams app helps you navigate between Canvas and Teams.
You can access the course team right through the Microsoft Education dashboard for the course.
Team Meetings Functionality Outline
The Teams Meetings app incorporates Teams Meetings into Canvas. Faculty and students can view upcoming and past meetings, find and play meeting recordings, schedule individual or recurring meetings, and easily join meetings related to the course, all from within Canvas.
