Microsoft 365 allows users to record an audio clip of their name pronunciation on their M365 Profile Card. This helps colleagues address one another correctly and supports a more inclusive, multicultural workplace.
How-To
Task: Add your name pronunciation
Instructions
- Open your profile card:
- In Teams, click on your profile picture on the top right to open the panel. Then click your name to open your full profile card.
- Select the microphone icon next to your name.
- In the recording window, select the microphone button to begin recording.
- Maximum recording length: 10 seconds
- Select the microphone button again to stop.
- Choose to Save, Preview, or Retake the recording.
- Once saved, your profile card updates immediately.
Outcome
Your name pronunciation is recorded.
Task: Change or delete your name pronunciation
Instructions
- Open your profile card:
- In Teams, click on your profile picture on the top right to open the panel. Then click your name to open your full profile card.
- Select the speaker icon next to your name to play or manage your recording.
- To delete:
- Select the trash icon.
- Confirm by selecting Yes, delete
- To record a new pronunciation, select the microphone icon again and follow the steps above.
Outcome
Your name pronunciation is either updated or deleted.
