Xtender is an enterprise application used for document imaging and management. Xtender is often accessed from within Banner , which allows the user to view imaged documents without first navigating to Xtender to log in. Application Xtender Web Access is also available through the USNH Gateway > Production Systems list. Some users do not have Banner accounts and access Xtender only through the Gateway page.
Note: If this is a new user account, you will need to provide the user with the usual default password (more info below).
Xtender upgrade schedule:
- Finance / HR (Xtender BPRD) was upgraded on March 25, 2019 to AX 16.3
- UNH Student (Xtender PROD / SLLP) was upgraded on August, 17, 2019 to AX 16.3
- PSU Student (PSC1) was upgraded on September, 17, 2019 to AX 16.3
- KSC Student (XPRD) will be upgraded from AX 7 at the beginning of November 2019.
Xtender password basics
- Xtender passwords are stand-alone. They do not synchronize with Banner or AD.
- If the user is a new user, they have been set up with the "usual default password" - pX####! - as set by the ET&S - Business Application Security Team.
- NOTE: #### is replaced by the last 4 of the user's USNH common ID#
- Users will need to log into Xtender, whether they go directly from the USNH Gateway page or launch it from Banner.
How to change the Xtender password
If user can log into Xtender, they can change their password. [from the public Xtender password change article]
Step 1 - Log into KSC Student Xtender PROD under Production Systems > Document Management on the USNH Gateway page.
Step 2 - Click the login name on the title bar and select Change Password.
Note: If your password has expired, you will automatically be prompted to update your password. You will not need to click on your login name first.
Step 3 - The Change Password box appears.
Step 4 - In the Current Password field, enter your current Xtender password.
Note: If you are a new Xtender user and do not have a current password -- or if you have forgotten your password -- contact the Technology Help Desk.
Step 5 - In the New Password field, enter a new Xtender password.
Step 6 - In the Confirm New Password field, enter the same new Xtender password that you entered in the previous step.
Step 7 - Click the Change button.
Step 8 - Click through the acknowledgement messages.

How to reset Xtender password if user does not know their password
If the user does not know their password and if it's not a new account with a default password, please send an incident to the ET&S - Business Application Security Team:
Step 1 - Create a TeamDynamix ticket using the HD-KSC Student Xtender (XPRD) - Password Reset template.
Step 2 - Follow instructions within the Ticket Template details.
Step 3 - Include verified contact information for user.
Step 4 - Assign incident to the ET&S- Business Application Security Team in TeamDynamix.
