Task: Creating a new collection on Mahara

 

Instructions

You need to create your ePortfolio pages prior to creating a new collection.

Step 1 - Once in Mahara, click on Main Menu in the upper right side of the dashboard page indicated by horizontal lines.

Step 2 - Click on the down arrow next to Create title.

Step 3 - Click on the Pages and Collections sub-title.

Step 4 - Click +Add button on the upper right of screen.

Step 5 - Click the Collection button.

Step 6 - Fill in the Collection name

Step 7 - Click Next: Edit collection pages button on the bottom of page

Step 8 - One option to add pages to a collection is on the left side of screen, click the checkbox to right of the page names you want to add into the collection. Note: if a page already exists in a collection it will not be displayed in this list.

Step 9 - Click Add Pages button.

Step 10 - Under "Pages Already in Collection" title, click up arrow or drag page names to re-order the pages within the collection.

Step 11 - The other option to add a page is you can now drag and drop pages into collections. See illustration below:

Step 12 - Click Done

 

Outcome

Users should be able to create a new collection on Mahara.
