How-to

Task: To Set up your Voicemail

Important: When you first log in to set up your voicemail make sure you complete all the prompts, otherwise you will need to start over on the next login.

Instructions

Step 1Call into voicemail

  • From your Campus Phone (or EC-500-connected cell phone): by dialing either 52700 or 88877.  
    • If you hear the name of another user, press * then # and follow the prompts, otherwise simply press #.
  • From off campus or cell phone: by dialing either 603-535-2700 or 603-358-8877
    • When prompted, enter the 5-digit campus phone extension number for the voicemail box you want to set up (yours or different one)

Step 2 - Enter the temporary password provided by your administrator, followed by the # sign

Step 3 - Create a new password using 6 or more digits.

Step 4 - Press # and continue through the prompts

 

Outcome

You should be able to successfully setup your voicemail.

Task: To Access/Log into your Voicemail 

 

Instructions

Step 1Call into voicemail

  • From your Campus Phone (or EC-500-connected cell phone): by dialing either 52700 or 88877.  
    • If you hear the name of another user, press * then # and follow the prompts, otherwise simply press #.
  • From off campus or cell phone: by dialing either 603-535-2700 or 603-358-8877
    • When prompted, enter the 5-digit extension number for your voicemail.

Step 2 - Enter your voicemail password

 

Outcome

You should be able to successfully access your voicemail.

Task: To Retrieve Messages That Others Have Left for You

 

Instructions

Step 1Log into your USNH Voicemail

Step 2 - Press 1 to listen to your messages,

Step 3 - Press 1 again to retrieve unread messages

Step 4 - After listening to a message your options are to:

  • press 7 to delete 
  • press 9 to save 
  • press 6 to send a copy
  • select nothing to keep the message, marked as read, in your voicemail Inbox

 

Outcome

You should be able to retrieve messages that others have left for you.

Task: To Change Your Password

 

Instructions

Step 1Log into your USNH Voicemail

Step 2 - Press 4 (Personal Options) at the main menu

Step 3 - Press 9 (Change your Password)

Step 4 - Enter your new password and press #

 

Outcome

You should be able to change your voicemail password.

Task: To Re-record Your Voiced-In Name

 

Instructions

Step 1Log into your USNH Voicemail

Step 2 - Press 4 (Personal Options) at the main menu

Step 3 - Press 1 for (Record Greetings)

Step 4 - Press 6 (Change Recorded Name)

Step 5 - Record your name and press #

 

Outcome

You should be able to re-record your voice-in name.

Task: To Check Messages for a Different Mailbox

These instructions apply whenever you are trying to check messages for a voicemail box that has a different phone extension than the campus phone you are using.  For example, if you are trying to check your personal voicemail from some campus phone other than your own.  Or if you are trying to check the voicemail messages for a group mailbox, that has a different phone number, by using your own phone.  

Instructions

Step 1Call into voicemail from a campus phone (or EC-500-connected cell phone): by dialing either 52700 or 88877.  

Step 2Press * then # to access a different voicemail box

Step 3 - Enter the 5-digit extension for the desired voicemail 

Step 4 - Enter the password for the target voicemail box

 

Outcome

You should be able to check your messages for a mailbox different from your own.
