This article contains two tasks:
Task: To connect to VMware Horizon for use of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
Important: If you are using a personal device, you must first connect to the USNH VPN in order to access the VDI. If you are working off-campus on any device, you must first connect to the USNH VPN in order to access the VDI. See GlobalProtect VPN: General Information and Resources for guidance on using the USNH VPN.
Instructions
Step 1 - After you have connected to the USNH VPN (if necessary - see note above), open a web browser and go to: https://go.plymouth.edu/desktop/
Step 2 - Select "VMware Horizon HTML Access"
Step 3 - On the VMware Horizon screen, log in with your University credentials. Either username or username@usnh.edu should work for this login.
Step 4 - Click on "USNH Virtual Desktops"
Outcome
You should see a fully-functional Windows operating system desktop. Users of the VDI Desktop service can expect access to several centrally licensed software resources running on the Windows operating system.
PLEASE NOTE: If you close out of the browser or tab you are working in you may need to wait up to 3 minutes before you can log back in again.

Task: To log off and disconnect from the VMware Horizon VDI
Instructions
Step 1 - To Log off: Click on the gray tab on the left edge side of the desktop.
Step 2 - On this window, click on the "Log off icon" (looks like a bulleted list symbol) and select "Log off"
Outcome
You will be logged out of Windows and the VMware Horizon VDI will be closed. If you want to connect again, you may need to wait up to 3 minutes before you can log back in again.
