EAB Navigate360: Creating Saved Searches for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

For advisors who are responsible for advising both undergraduate and graduate students can create saved searches to pull these lists in EAB Navigate with a single click. Saved Searches are dynamic, so they will automatically update when a student is assigned to that advisor.

Task: For advisors who are responsible for advising both undergraduate and graduate students can create saved searches to pull these lists in EAB Navigate with a single click. Saved Searches are dynamic, so they will automatically update when a student is assigned to that advisor.

Instructions:

Pulling a list of Undergraduate Advisees

Navigate to the Advanced Search area of the application

  1. Unfold the Term Data area
  2. In the field, Classification (In Any of These) select, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior
  3. Below that use the field Classification (In None of these) select, Graduate
  4. At the bottom of the screen to the right of the Search Icon, check the box, My Students Only
  5. Click, Search

  1. This will return all advisees for the current semester in undergraduate who you are responsible.  Verify the list.
  2. At the top of the screen, click Save
  3. Name the Search accordingly.  This will save the search and all its parameters and place it in the Lists and Saved Items area

 

Pulling a list of Graduate Advisees

Navigate to the Advanced Search area of the application

  1. Unfold the Term Data area
  2. In the field, Classification (In Any of These) select, Graduate
  3. Below that use the field Classification (In None of these) select, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior
  4. At the bottom of the screen to the right of the Search Icon, check the box, My Students Only
  5. Click, Search
  6. This will return all advisees for the current semester in Graduate who you are responsible.  Verify the list.
  7. At the top of the screen, click Save
  8. Name the Search accordingly.  This will save the search and all its parameters and place it in the Lists and Saved Items area

 

Running Saved Searches

  1. Navigate to the Lists and Saved Items area
  2. Click on the name of a saved Search
  3. The system will run the search with the saved parameters set prior.

 

 

Outcome:

Users will be able to look for advisors who are responsible for advising both undergraduate and graduate students can create saved searches to pull these lists in EAB Navigate with a single click. Saved Searches are dynamic, so they will automatically update when a student is assigned to that advisor.
