This article describes best practices for setting up a Classic quiz and how to give a student another quiz attempt

Quiz Settings
To ensure the student has the best chance to successfully connect and complete the quiz review the following suggestions;
- Allow ample time throughout the day when technology support resources are available to provide students and/or faculty support.
- Set a time range that allows amply time for students to access and take the quiz.
- If using the Lock Down Browser, provide information to students on how to get help.
- Have students practice using Lock Down Browser before the day of the quiz.
- Quizzes using the Time Limit option also need the From and Until Date/Time to be the same or greater than the time entered in the Time Limit. Students who are given extra time in the Moderate time area, must also have the From and Until Date/Time be expanded to match their Time Limit. - If a student gets dropped out of a quiz, you can give a student an extra attempt. See the Canvas article for more details Article on how to give a student another quiz attempt
- If necessary, faculty can submit a quiz on behalf of the student. See the Canvas articles for more details
