Tasks provide users with the ability to create "to-do" items and assign them to groups at the institution. Tasks allow Task Managers to push out important “To Do” actions to a group of users so that those users can be notified of upcoming actions they need to carry out.

Instructions

Managing Tasks

Step 1 - Global Menu -> Tasks

Step 2 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu

Step 3 - Review Current Tasks and Completed Tasks

Complete Tasks

Step 1 - Global Menu > Tasks

Step 2 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu.

Step 3 - Click Mark as complete when the Task has been completed.

Step 4 - The Task will be removed from Current Tasks.

Step 5 - The Task will be moved to Completed Tasks. A user may click Mark incomplete to move the Task back to Current Tasks.

Personal Tasks

Step 1 - Global Menu > Tasks

Step 2 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu.

Step 3 - Select + Add Task in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 4 - Enter Basic Info and Task Details.

Step 5 - Reminder Notifications

Step 6 - A user may also choose to set Reminder Notifications as well as a pop-up reminder for the Task.

Step 7 - To enable the Task Reminder Notifications feature, the Task must have a Due date (entered in Task Details).

Step 8 - A user can set a Reminder Notification for X days before the due date. Additional reminders can be added, as needed.

Step 9 - A user can also configure a pop-up that will interrupt users and display a reminder about the Task.

Step 10 - Click Save when finished.

Step 11 - The user will receive a notification when a new Personal Task has been created.

Edit a Personal Task

Step 1 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu.

Step 2 - Select Task Options in the upper right-hand corner of the specific Personal Task.

Step 3 - Click Edit in the drop-down menu.

Step 4 - Edit the Personal Task, as necessary.

Step 5 - Click Save when finished.

Complete a Personal Task

Step 1 - Global Menu > "Task"

Step 2 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu.

Step 3 - Navigate to the specific Personal Task.

Step 4 - Select Mark as complete.

Step 5 - Notification of this successful action will appear in the lower left-hand corner.

Step 6 - The completed Personal Task will move to the Completed Tasks tab. A user may choose Mark incomplete to move the Personal Task back to the Current Tasks tab.

Filters/Sorting

Step 1 - Global Menu > Tasks

Step 2 - Click on Tasks in the Global Menu.

Step 3 - Click the Show drop-down menu.

Step 4 - Tasks can be shown by All Categories, specific Categories, or Only Required.

Step 5 - Click the Sort by drop-down menu.

Step 6 - Tasks can be sorted by Default, Due Date, Importance, and Recent.

Identifying tasks that need attention

Step 1 - Users in the Tasks window can use the Show and Sort by options in the upper right to filter to those tasks that are Required and by Importance.
