Students

Students are not required to bring printers with them. Wireless printers will not connect to the PSU network due to security reasons.

Printing is available to all PSU students on campus. Each student is provisioned with a printing quota of $20 at the beginning of each semester.

Print Process

PSU Students log into go.plymouth.edu/print and choose a printer to send the print job to. They upload their document, then pick up their printout at the chosen printer.

To log into the online print portal, use your USNH username (like jbd2519, without the @usnh.edu) and your USNH password (same as for the myUSNH portal or Outlook email).

The majority of printers available to students print in black and white. If a printer has the ability to print in color, it will have "color" in the name.

Black and white printouts are double-sided by default, while color printouts are single-sided. If you need to print in a special format, want a single-sided black and white printout, or a double-sided color printout, you can submit a job using the Mobility Print queues with a program's print menu and release the job online.

Cost

Pages are priced based on whether the job is in black and white or is in color:

  • Black & white - $0.05 per page
  • Color - $0.12 per page

Jobs that are double-sided will charge for each side.

If a student tries to print a job that will exceed their current balance, there will be an error message on Papercut that says: "Denied: Not enough available credit." In that situation, the student will need to contact the PSU Help Desk by calling (603) 535-2525, visiting the HUB 123 location between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday, or submitting a printing ticket online. When contacting the Help Desk, make sure to provide details about why the adjustment is needed.

Student Print Locations

The locations of specific printers are shown in the online portal when submitting a job. There are public printers located around the PSU Campus in most academic buildings, including:

  • AllWell North
  • Boyd
  • D&M
  • HUB
  • Hyde
  • Lamson Library
  • Memorial
  • Rounds
  • Samuel Reed Hall
  • Mary Lyon

Color printers available in:

  • the HUB Fireplace Lounge
  • Lamson Library 101 Alcove

Some printers are located inside classrooms. PSU students are expected to refrain from using printers in classrooms that have active class sessions and are encouraged to print to another device during those times.

The student printers around the PSU campus are maintained by ET&S. If there is an issue with one of these printers, submit a ticket and include error messages and descriptions of the behavior.

Printing is also available to students in all the PSU Computer Labs
