This article explains how TeamDynamix (TDx) users can install, use, or uninstall the TDx Integration for Teams app within the USNH Teams environment. These instructions are for USNH TeamDynamix users.
Note: This integration is only for search and display of TeamDynamix items. There is no way to create a TDx item through this integration.

Interact with TeamDynamix tickets, articles, and more right in a Teams chat or post!
The TDx Integration for Teams is a messaging extension, which means it can be accessed any time you are creating a chat message in Teams (both chat messages and posts directly to team channels). You can use the TDx/Teams integration to communicate, search for, share, and manage tickets, including Incidents and Problems, Projects, and Issues without switching apps.
How-To
Task: Installing the TDX integration app in Microsoft Teams
NOTE: Once the TDX for Teams integration app is made available for all users, it will be in the "Apps > Built for your org" section of Teams
Instructions
Step 1 - Access any Teams Chat or Team Channel > Posts tab
Step 2 - Click the plus sign icon in the Chat or Post message composition window.
Step 3 - Search for TDX and click Add

Step 4 - The TDX app Chatbot will send you a message welcoming you “to the TeamDynamix app for Microsoft Teams!”
Step 5 - The first time you add the app, you will see a Register with TeamDynamix chat. Click Sign in and sign in with your usual USNH username, password, and MFA if needed.
- You will see another message from TDX confirming that "Your Microsoft Teams user account has been successful associated with your TeamDynamix user account."

Outcome
The TDX app will be available in the “View more apps” button on the left and in all message composition windows in each Teams Channel and Chat you belong to.

Task: Using TeamDynamix within Teams
Note: All TDx/Teams communications happen through Teams Chats or posts in Teams Channels
WARNING: With the TDX app installed in Teams, all TDx item previews display to anyone in Teams, regardless of the viewer's permissions to view the item within TeamDynamix.
Option 1: Sharing a TeamDynamix item URL
Instructions
Step 1 - Paste a TDx item URL (such as for a ticket, knowledge article, service page, project plan, etc.) into a Teams chat or post.
Step 2 - A TDx information card will appear below the text of your Teams message.
- This TDx Card includes information from TDx, depending on the type of item it is.
- For example, a ticket will include not just the ticket number and title, but also the description, status, requestor, and responsible group.
- The TDx Card also includes a button or buttons to interact with the TDx item.
- Example buttons include "View", "View in Mobile", or "Comment"
- Note: The "Comment" button will add a Comment to the item within TeamDynamix, but the comment will NOT appear in the Teams Chat/Post where you clicked the button.

Option 2: Searching for TDx items from within Teams message
Instructions
Step 1 - Click the plus sign icon t the bottom of a Teams chat or post and select the TDX application. You may need to scroll or search for "TDX" to find it.
Step 2 – You will see this TDX app window, defaulting to searching within TDx Tickets:

Step 3 – Click on the tabs across the top or "7 More" to select the TDx item type you want to find. These item types are included in the TDX app in Teams:
- Tickets
- Articles
- Assets and CIs
- Services
- Ticket Tasks
- Projects and Project Tasks
- Issues
- Risks
Step 4 - Type a keyword or item ID number (ticket number, article number, etc.) into the "Search by ID or text" box – no need to press enter. TDx will display matching results as you type. It can take a moment to return results – be patient.
Step 5 - Click on your desired item from the list. Scroll to see more results.

Step 6 - The TDX app will place a TDx information card into the chat. Add any message and remember to send the message after inserting the TDX item card.
- This TDx Card includes information from TDx, depending on the type of item it is.
- For example, a ticket will include not just the ticket number and title, but also the description, status, requestor, and responsible group.
- The TDx Card also includes a button or buttons to interact with the TDx item.
- Example buttons include "View", "View in Mobile", or "Comment"
- Note: The TDx app "Comment" button will add a Comment to the Project or Ticket Feed within TeamDynamix, but the comment will NOT appear in the Teams conversation.
Outcome
Members of the chat or channel will be able to view the TDx item you shared. For Tickets and Projects they have the option to add Comments to the TDx item's feed in TeamDynamix.

Task: Uninstalling the TDX integration app from Teams
Instructions
Step 1 - In Teams, click the Apps Button in the Teams left navigation bar
Step 2 - Click on “Manage your apps” at the very bottom of the Apps left navigation bar.

Step 3 - Click on the triangle "arrow" next to TDX to expand the app
Step 4 - Click on the Trash Can icon to the far right to Remove the app from your Teams

Outcome
You have removed the TDX integration with Teams app from your Teams.
