MS Teams: Accessing Microsoft Teams

Task: Accessing Teams in a Web Browser

 

Instructions

Step 1 - Navigate to portal.office.com .

Step 2 - Sign in with your USNH campus username (e.g., username@usnh.edu), your password, and your multi-factor authentication (MFA) code if prompted.

Step 3 - From the Microsoft 365 homepage, select the Teams icon in the app launcher (the nine-dot “waffle” menu in the top-left corner). 
 

Outcome

Microsoft Teams will open in your browser.

Task: Accessing Teams from the Desktop Application

 

Instructions

Step 1 - On your computer, click the Start menu or search icon, then type Teams in the search box.

Step 2 - Select the Microsoft Teams application from the results.

Note: Make sure you are using Microsoft Teams (work or school) and not the version labeled “Microsoft Teams (personal)”.
 

Outcome

Microsoft Teams will open in its dedicated desktop window.
