The Cybersecurity Operations team is available to assist in responding to and investigating events and incidents that may have information security implications. Examples of Cybersecurity Incidents:
- Computer account(s) accessed by an unauthorized person
- Compromise of credentials resulting from malware infection, phishing attack, or improper disclosure of password(s) to an unauthorized person
- Device(s) infected with ransomware
- Unintentional or intentional disclosure of protected University data to an unauthorized person or people
- Unauthorized access to, alteration of, or activity within a University information system
- Physical theft/breach (ex. broken doors to IT facilities, stolen computers, etc.)
- Phishing attacks, denial of service attacks, or defaced websites
- Computing policy violations, including illegal or prohibited uses
To report an information security incident:
- Call the UNH Help Desk at 603-862-4242 and alert the support technician that you need to report an information security incident.
- During the school year, calls are answered Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday - 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- During the summer, calls are answered Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
If you need to report an incident outside of these hours, call UNH Police Dispatch at 603-862-1427 and inform the dispatcher that you need to report a cybersecurity incident and are requesting they alert the Cybersecurity team.
