Task: To install Maple on your MacOS devices
Maple requires that the entire application be installed on your computer. Your computer will still need a network connection to check out a license for Maple from the server each time you start the program.
Instructions
Step 1 - Connect to the repository for the installation files from UNH Maple. This folder is accessible to all UNH account holders, but you may have to login with your UNH username and password to gain access.
Step 2 - Open the folder for Maple MacOS. The currently licensed version is: 2023.1
Step 3 - You will see an archive for the software. In this case, it will be a .dmg disk image file. Download this by clicking on the item and then clicking on the Download button that appears in the middle of the browser window.
Step 4 - Once the download has finished, open the archive from the downloads location that your browser uses. Typically, this is the Downloads folder in your user folder on the computer. When you open the archive, you should see the installation files to continue the process.
Step 5 - Double-click the Maple2023.1MacInstaller.dmg file to mount the disk image.
Step 6 - On the Maple disk image, double-click the file named Maple2023.1Installer to start the installation process.
Step 7 - When prompted, enter an Administrator username and password to authorize the installer.
Step 8 - Click Next on the Introduction screen.
Step 9 - On the License Agreement screen, click the button to accept the terms of the license before clicking Next to continue.
Step 10 - If you have MATLAB installed on your computer, the Maple installer may request to include an add-in for MATLAB to allow the two programs to connect.
- If you would like this installed, select your copy of MATLAB when prompted;
- otherwise, just click Next if asked.
Step 11 - Proceed through the setup program accepting the default settings. When asked to Choose the Type of Licensing, select Network License. Then, in the next dialog, select that there is a Single Server for the licenses.
Step 12 - Enter academic.unh.edu as the name of the license server. Leave the port value at the default 27000.
Step 13 - Click Install and wait for the program to be installed. This may take several minutes. Quit the installer.
Step 14 - Once the installation is complete, you may discard the installation archive you downloaded in the initial steps.
Using Maple
Because Maple much check out a license from the UNH license server each time it runs, you must be either on the UNH campus on a wired Ethernet connection or using the secure eduroam wireless network, or you must be connected to the USNH VPN service if using the software from off campus.
Once you have completed the installation, you can run Maple by double-clicking on the Maple 2023 program located in /Applications/Maple 2023
Optionally, you can drag the Maple program to your Dock for easy access.

Uninstalling Maple
Drag the Maple 2023 folder from /Applications to the Trash to remove Maple from your computer.
