Summary
This tip is for anyone using the web version of Xtender, who would like to print, email, or export a document from Xtender by running it in the backend.
If you have a large document that is taking a long time to print, email, or export, Xtender will give you the option to run the job in the backend. This allows you to continue working in Xtender while it processes.
How-To
Task: Run a job (such as print, email, export) on the backend.
Instructions
- If your job is taking a long time to process, Xtender will give you the option to run it in the backend. When you see that option pop up, click the link. The dialog box will go away.
- While the job is running in the backend, you will see a little clock on the right side of your screen.
- When the job is done running, the little clock will have a red circle and a number on it.
- Double-click the clock to see the Job Manager dialog box.
- From the Job Manager dialog box, you can download (or print, if that's the job you were running).
Outcome
You should be able to run a job (such as print, email, export) on the backend.
