Adding a Telephone Line

To add a new telephone line, please contact the ITS Help Desk (603)535-2929 or initiate a Self Support Ticket by emailing helpdesk@plymouth.edu.

By default, a new telephone line includes a 16 Button digital phone, and a voicemail account.

  • Analog lines are available, if required, by special request, as are 24 button digital phones.

For each new telephone request, please provide the following:

  • The name of the person who the extension will be associated with, and the department they are assigned to.
  • The building and room number for the install.
  • The jack number (located on the wall outlet with a number beginning with 00V) in the location of the install.

Wall Outlets

As part of the standard service ITS provides a maximum of two "drops" per office (or cubical). A drop is defined as a jack with connectivity for one voice line and two data lines. Adding additional or physically relocating existing drops within a space may incur an installation charge ($300).

Installation charges for new construction or a space remodels are sometimes covered as part of the project budget. However, ITS requests that they be included in space planning prior to construction in order to assess whether it may be more cost advantageous to departments to have the work done internally by PSU.
